Tips to tackle the holiday meals
-
- Let the splurging only happen for the main meal, and the rest of the day be sure to get what your body needs to stay balanced
- Say NO – many of the foods we eat are because of traditions, not because we enjoy them. Remember what you love and just eat those items. Or shake things up and do a different kind of meal. I have friends doing a beef roast. I had a Thanksgiving one year where we just did the side dishes we loved.
- Don’t make the holiday about the food. Make it about being together with friends and family, or about the activity you do together.
